Triglav Tour

Tour programme

Ever wanted to stand on the top of the world? Standing on the top of Triglav will make you feel like that. The stunning views will be more than worth the effort of the climb on this 2-day experience.

At 2,863 metres (or 9,395 ft), Triglav stands above the many peaks of the beautiful Slovenian Alps. It is a symbol of Slovenia: it is said that you’re not a true Slovenian until you reach the peak. But if you’re not a local and climb Triglav, you can become an honorary “citizen” overnight.

Since it is a popular mountain, you can often run into traffic, especially during peak season. This is where our expert guides come in - they know how to get you off the beaten path, so you can avoid the crowds and enjoy the striking mountain scenery.

But the view isn’t the only star of the trip: you might be able to spot some of the famous mountain wildlife like the chamois and the marmot, who can even come quite close to you if you don’t scare them away.

Most of the route is easy and not technically demanding, except for the upper part where your safety will be taken care of by an experienced guide. It takes two full days of hiking and a solid level of fitness is required.

What should I wear ?

It is important that your clothes are comfortable. You should have comfortable shoes with a good grip. It is recommended that you also have some warmer and windproof clothing with you as the temperature can drop or in case of cold wind. You can always leave excess clothes in the van after consulting with our guide.

The tour is only available as a private option for now. We believe that your experience will be better in smaller groups. Therefore, there will be a maximum of 5 guests per guide.

Bring enough water (can be refilled in the hut), snacks for two days, and sunscreen or other sun protection. You can also bring trekking poles if you are used to them. A fresh t-shirt and a pair of socks for the second day, toothbrush and anything else you may need for an overnight. If you have your own sleeping liner you can bring it with you, or you can get a disposable one in the hut for a few euros. Also note that there are no restrooms in nature, only in the hut.

What in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather the tour can be postponed or you will be fully refunded.

You don't need any prior experience for the tour, however, you should be comfortable with two full days of hiking with breaks.
