Tour programme
Slovenia is home to many spectacular waterfalls, but the two falls of Martuljek have a special place in the hearts of locals.
Seated deep within sheer rock, they are not only a marvel of nature, but a supreme hiking destination. We will trace their stream up to the mighty mountain walls, where the first waterfall awaits.
A path through the woods will take us to the second (and the more spectacular) one, where you will be able to take pictures with the stunning 34 metre fall behind.
On our way back, we will visit an authentic traditional charcoal heap, where people still practice one of humanity’s oldest crafts - turning wood into charcoal.
The first part is short and easy, suitable for everyone. The optional extension to the second waterfall is a bit more technical and requires basic hiking experience.

How many people will be in a group?
We believe that your experience will be better in smaller groups. Therefore, there will be a maximum of 8 guests per guide.
Who will be our guide?

What should I bring with me?
Bring enough water, some snacks and sunscreen or other sun protection. You can also bring trekking poles if you are used to them.
What in case of bad weather?
Even though Slovenia is small, it has quite diverse climate, so it is not unusual that there is nice weather somewhere else. In that case, you will be kindly suggested a different tour where the weather will be nice. If offered alternative tour doesn’t suit you or if the weather is not suitable for hiking, you will receive a full refund if you have already prepaid our tour.
Am I fit enough?
The tour is flexible and it can be adjusted to your preferences, skills and fitness. The first part is suitable for everyone while the optional second part requires basic hiking experience.
Is the tour kid friendly?
Children are also welcomed on the tour. Children should be able to hike for a few hours with breaks. If you are planning to go on a tour with young kids, please let us know in advance and we can adjust the tour if necessary.
